You are invited to join the Authors Guild’s Bay Area Chapter on March 5 for a free mixer and seminar on applying for grants, fellowships, and residencies. After we share light refreshments, Lyzette Wanzer, MFA will share insights and strategies for attaining funding for your creative writing projects. She will share handouts from her six-week course, Building a Career as a Literary Artist of Color. We’ll also discuss services that the Guild provides to its members, including advocacy, educational webinars, legal advice, contract reviews and concierge assistance with health insurance. All Guild members are welcome. Non-member attendees will receive a discount code to save 25% on their first year of Guild membership.

Public Transportation: The center is one block from the Berkeley BART station. It is served by the AC Transit East Bay 6,7,18, 51B,52,79,88,6, and transbay F and FS lines.
Parking: The closest parking garage is the City of Berkeley’s Oxford Garage, located directly underneath the Brower Center – enter at 2161 Kittredge. On the street, metered parking ends at 6 pm.
