Lauren Groff’s Florida, Tayari Jones’s An American Marriage, and Sigrid Nunez’s The Friend were longlisted for Fiction. David Quammen’s The Tangled Tree: A Radical New History of Life was longlisted for Nonfiction. Elizabeth Partridge’s Boots on the Ground: America’s War in Vietnam was longlisted for Young People’s Literature.
