Fiction helps people better understand each other. That’s the “world” reason. For me–I just love to write and can’t imagine not doing it. What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? I sit in the chair every weekend day at about the same time. For me, it’s all about habit. What is your favorite time to write? I usually write between about 10:00a.m. and 5:00p.m. Sometimes I may come back later, but usually late evenings aren’t good for my brain. What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? The thing about creating a habit and sticking to it. It becomes easy to learn and grow with practice. What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? Today we have the opportunity to reach people all over the world. We have many newer publishers doing exciting things. And we have ebooks, which allow us to keep our books “in print.” There’s never been a better time for an ordinary person to be a writer. Mary G.
