The fellowship is an opportunity for a journalist early in his or her career to build upon David Carr’s commitment to holding power accountable and telling engaging, deeply reported stories. Candidates should have at least three years of experience and be eager to experiment with creative ways of storytelling. Applicants should submit a resume, a short essay about how their career and coverage is in keeping with David Carr’s legacy, and five samples of your best journalistic work.
