Writing gives me an outlet for my imagination and creativity that helps to keep me balanced, especially since life can be chaotic. Writing is an important medium for the same reason, it helps to keep our imaginations and creativity balanced with the chaos of the world. What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? I don’t believe in writer’s block per se. I believe we write until the well is empty then we need to refill it. That refilling varies from writer to writer. For me, exercise, rest or brainstorming with a friend. Or even reading a book in a different genre can help refill the well. What is your favorite time to write? I write best in the mid-morning to late-afternoon time. What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? There are so many pearls of wisdom about writing I’ve been blessed with over the years. I would say the most profound would be to protect the work and you can’t fix a blank page. What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? Connecting with readers in meaningful and authentic ways has made the writing more exciting.
