Why is writing important to you and why do you think it’s an important medium for the world? I am a multi-disciplinary artist for whom writing is a principal outlet for my creativity. It enhances all aspects of my art-making and is incorporated into my filmmaking and photography. It is also a major contributor to our understanding of the world around us and those who inhabit it.

What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? Everyone must find their remedy for writer’s block through trial and error. My remedy is a constant engagement with the creative community and exposure to as much thought-provoking, provocative art as possible.

What is your favorite time to write? My writing times may vary according to my various personal responsibilities and wellness needs, ie: workouts, meditation, etc.

What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? Writers write!

What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? I am excited about exposing readers to issues and lifestyles they are unfamiliar with and building understanding among diverse communities.
