Internet Archive’s National Emergency Library Is ILLEGAL. Here’s Why

The Facts:

Internet Archive does not have permission from authors and publishers to scan and distribute their books.

No court has ever said that it is “fair use” to scan books that are under copyright, make numerous copies, and give unrestricted access. Just because Internet Archive is a not-for-profit does not make this legal.

National Emergency Library is distributing books for which electronic licenses are available.
