Iowa Prize in Literary Nonfiction

The Iowa Prize in Literary Nonfiction is awarded for a book-length manuscript of literary nonfiction originally written in English. The prize is open to both new and established writers. Manuscripts must be between 40,000 and 90,000 words and may include previously published periodical articles as long as the author has retained copyright. Work that has been previously self-published in its entirety is not eligible. The winner will receive publication with the University of Iowa Press under its standard royalty agreement and contract terms.
