Fellows will be able to interact with the editorial staff of Image Magazine and the English department at Seattle Pacific University. Fellows will also be matched up with a literary mentor. Fellows will receive a stipend of $500/month. The nine-month fellowship will last from September 15 through June 15. All applicants must be U.S. citizens and possess at least an M.A. in English Literature, Creative Writing, or the humanities, or an MFA in Creative Writing. Applicants should submit a book proposal of no more than 2,000 words, a personal essay of no more than 2,000 words, a writing sample (prose: 30-50 pages, poetry: 8-12 poems), a brief explanation of goals, and three letters of reference.
