Works of fiction (novels, short story anthologies, or drama) or non-fiction (biography, history, or memoirs) are eligible. Books must be written in English, but English translations of previously published works will not be accepted. Self-published books will be accepted. The prize is intended to foster the writing of newer authors, so in general, authors with four or more published books will not be considered.
