Bay Area Chapter Writers of Color Mixer

Wednesday, May 24, 2023

-

6:00 pm-9:00 pm Pacific

Intersection for the Arts, 1446 Market Street , San Francisco, California

The Authors Guild is increasing its support for writers of color. Come meet fellow Bay Area writers and a Guild ambassador to learn how the Guild can help you achieve your writing goals and build your writing career.

The Guild provides individual legal advice on contracts and copyright issues, website hosting, press card access, vendor discounts, and health insurance information. We advocate for writers in negotiations with publishers, companies, Congress, and other government agencies. We host local meetups and online forums for writers and offer a wide range of webinars on all aspects of the business of writing. In recent years, the Guild has expanded its collaboration with organizations that support underserved communities. At this mixer we’ll explore how the Guild’s Bay Area chapter can strengthen its relationship with local writers of color.

This is a free event. Refreshments will be provided. Attendees can take advantage of a 25% discount on their first year of Guild membership!

Join us at Intersection for the Arts, 1446 Market St, San Francisco, on May 24 from 6 pm to 9 pm. Parking is limited, but the venue is an eight-minute walk from BART’s Civic Center Station and a 30-second walk from the MUNI 49, 9, 7, 6, and F, K, L, and M lines.
