Watershed Literary Festival is a 4-day festival packed with book talks, panel discussions and workshops. Events feature authors of fiction, memoir, poetry, history and crime, as well as journalists and critics. Author signings will be arranged whenever possible and a limited number of books will be available for purchase.
–You can register for events online: www.watershedrye.com–
There is no charge to attend but a suggested donation of $20 per event is appre- ciated, cash or Venmo preferred. Three non-profit organizations—Rye Free Reading Room, Rye Arts Center and Rye Historical Society—will benefit from the proceeds.
Invited speakers include Annabel Monaghan (Same Time Next Summer), Kate Manning (Gilded Mountain) and Jimin Han (The Apology), Priscilla Gilman (The Critic’s Daughter) and Iman Hariri-Kia (A Hundred Other Girls). Poet Laureate BK Fischer will lead a poetry-focused event, and veteran journalist Lisa Belkin will discuss her latest book, Genealogy of a Murder with Heather Cabot, author of The New Chardonnay.
There’s even a workshop for young writers, and a “Local Catch” book sale.
