Jesmyn Ward’s Sing, Unburied, Sing and Jennifer Egan’s Manhattan Beach were longlisted for Fiction. Frances FitzGerald’s The Evangelicals: The Struggle to Shape America was longlisted for Nonfiction. The finalists will be announced October 4th and the winner will be announced at the National Book Awards Benefit Dinner and Ceremony on November 15.
