Important? I don’t feel that I have a choice! I don’t write unless I have something to say, so if the medium is ‘important for the world’ it’s only insofar as my work reaches others to make them laugh, feel less alone, or both. I seek out books for the same reason–to connect. What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? Walk away! Dance, yoga, Scrabble, call a friend, hike with my dog. What is your favorite time to write? Morning. What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? Never give up, rewrite, rewrite, rewrite and read, read, read and “You’re a real writer and you’re not rich so you’re going to need a day job for the rest of your life.” What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? Working with creative people all over the world – a narrator in Paris, a cover designer in Serbia, and an indie press in Oregon. Fabienne Marsh’s Juliette, Rising is out now with Windtree Press.
