If a bit of history rides on your shoulders or if you have an important story to tell or if you are compelled to get the truth in print, then you must do so. It is your contribution to yourself, your family, and the society at large. What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? Sit down and just write SOMETHING. Start with what you know. It will flow. And of course you can–and must–revise and edit later. What is your favorite time to write? The later in the day, the better for me. What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? Take all of the advice you can muster from others, consider their suggestions carefully and fully, but in the end remember that this is YOUR book, your story, and you need to embrace the narrative YOU want. It must be the book you are proud of and want to have exist in perpetuity. What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? The freedom to speak your mind about what is important to you, even if your book doesn’t set the world on fire, make you rich, or solve society’s ills.
