Member Spotlight: Jill Sanders

Why is writing important to you and why do you think it’s an important medium for the world? I’ve always had an overactive imagination. For me, writing is a way for that to work itself out so I can express myself and thoughts. There are important lessons in every story. Just the ability to lose your own problems and escape for a short time is a great asset to someone’s daily life.

What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? I always find that taking a walk with my dogs clears my head and allows for my imagination to work overtime.

What is your favorite time to write? When it’s quiet around the house. LOL. Actually, my favorite time is early morning or mid-afternoon.

What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? Write. First and foremost. Even if you end up tossing it, just write.

What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? So much. There are so many stories locked away that are dying to get out. Sharing those stories with others.
