For me, it has been helpful in my recovery from childhood trauma. But I have learned to also use it in my work with senior executives to help them grow as leaders (blogs, news briefs, tips, etc). It is an important medium for anyone who has a message and who is trying to inform others. What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? I have a very robust spiritual practice that includes everything from hiking to yoga, including meditation and journaling. My spiritual practices have been instrumental in helping me with writer’s block. From a practical standpoint, I tend to create outlines from my thoughts and then fill them in with free-writing my ideas. What is your favorite time to write? I prefer the first half of the day on the weekends when everything is quiet and my energy level is the highest. What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? We all have a message – a story. By sharing your message, you never know who you will inspire or motivate. So even the most seemingly insignificant message should be written and shared, if that is your goal. What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? The amount of people who are looking for information, advice, and guidance. As writers I see it as our responsibility to get valuable information to these people.
