Member Spotlight: Roger Hart

author Roger Hart and an image of his book Mysteries of the Universe

Why is writing important to you and why do you think it’s an important medium for the world? The world is full of crooked pictures, things that often don’t make sense. Love, hate, anger, loneliness are but a few examples. I write in an effort to understand or illuminate these mysteries. Stories can give us a glimpse into other lives and reassure us that we are not alone.

What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? I don’t think writer’s block exists.

What is your favorite time to write? Mornings and afternoons.

What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? Humor can be a good thing.

What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? Learning from other writers and being part of a diverse community.

Roger Hart’s Mysteries of the Universe is out now with Kallisto Gaia Press.
