The Authors Guild Banned Books Club Share on Twitter (opens in a new tab) on Facebook (opens in a new tab) on Linkedin (opens in a new tab) via email The Authors Guild Banned Books Club is a free virtual book club held on the social reading app Fable. Each month, the Banned Books Club presents a different work of fiction or nonfiction recently barred in one or more U.S. school districts or states. Participating readers can log on to Fable anytime to access the moderated book discussion as well as valuable resources to help them get the most out of their reading experience. The first year’s selections were moderated by their authors─or if the author is deceased, a well-known writer with a special affinity with the work. We will soon be bringing the Banned Books Club back for a second year, so stay tuned for updates. Meanwhile, you can still join the club to access the commentary and resources for any of the past selections in the Fable app. Join the Club Past Selections TitleAuthorTwo Boys KissingDavid LevithanSpeakLaurie Halse AndersonRed at the BoneJacqueline WoodsonLawn BoyJonathan EvisonAll American BoysJason Reynolds and Brendan KielyTo Kill a MockingbirdHarper Lee (led by Sungjoo Yoon)CrankEllen HopkinsCasteIsabel WilkersonThe Girl Who Fell from the SkyHeidi W.
