Can an author ever retire? It may seem unrealistic for those of us who are self-employed with a variable income, but retirement is absolutely possible if you understand the basics of investing. While people often talk about saving for retirement, the truth is that you need to be investing for retirement. Join Money Matters host and personal finance author Erin Lowry as she helps break down investing jargon, simple strategies, and the basics of retirement options for authors and independent contractors.

Please note that this webinar will not have prescriptive investing advice. It will focus on general information to help attendees to better understand possible options and how to vet financial professionals and services.

A Q&A will follow the presentation; you can pre-submit a question when registering for the event. A recording will be made available for those who cannot attend live.

The event will take place via Zoom with automatic closed captioning. To request any other accessibility features, please email support@authorsguild.org and we will make every effort to accommodate.
