Why is writing important to you and why do you think it’s an important medium for the world? Writing is cathartic for me. It helps me understand the world.

What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? A walk in the wooded park.

What is your favorite time to write? Anytime I can find an unbooked time on my calendar.

What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? Don’t try to make your first draft perfect. Just write.

What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? Being able to include historical context in my writing. Since there’s a movement to erase history.
