Writing both informs and entertains the public. Fiction of course appeals to everyone’s love of universal stories, but history increases our knowledge of facts and deeds in the past. If an author resurrects dead facts from the graveyard of history, historical novels can make a vanished world come alive. What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? Keep writing, listening, reading, revising. You never know where you’ll discover something useful. What is your favorite time to write? Morning and afternoon What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? The first draft is just a jumping off point. What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? People need to feel connected, to listen to and learn rom each other and, above all, to think as well as feel.
