Brit Bennett’s The Mothers was a finalist for the PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize for Debut Fiction. Ruth Franklin’s Shirley Jackson: A Rather Haunted Life and Joe Jackson’s Black Elk: The Life of an American Visionary were finalists for the PEN/Jacqueline Bograd Weld Award for Biography. Tess Lewis’s translation of Angel of Oblivion by Maja Haderlap was a finalist for the PEN Translation Prize. Members who were longlisted can be found here.
