Member Spotlight: Edith Lynn Hornik-Beer

Why is writing important to you and why do you think it’s an important medium for the world? Writing opens new doors to the world. Writing helps us to reach out to people who have curiosity, who want to verify their own thoughts and who in general are have curious minds.

What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? Taking long walks in the woods or along an isolated stretch along the ocean, listening to music or reading a book which talks about insights.

What is your favorite time to write? Mornings and late evenings.

What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? Follow your writing passion.

What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? I do like the age of computers. While today’s tech is a nightmare if it is not working properly but when it does work, I welcome that you can research answers to questions, move paragraphs around when writing, store books and articles you have written. I feel that my computer is my partner.
