Emergency Aid for Creators Affected by the Los Angeles Fires

As the Los Angeles wildfires continue to impact our community, we wanted to share additional resources that may be helpful during this challenging time. We want to remind you that the Authors League Fund, our sister organization, provides emergency financial assistance to struggling writers. Below is a comprehensive list of additional resources available to those affected by the wildfires:

Dramatists Guild Foundation

  • For playwrights, composers, lyricists, and librettists who need support with housing, utilities, medical bills, groceries, and other essential expenses

American Society of Journalists Writers Emergency Assistance Fund (WEAF) 

Book Industry Charitable Foundation

  • Staff and owners of bookstores and comic book shops qualify for help. More than one member of a store team may receive help at any given time.

Many organizations offer support specifically for their members affected by disasters.
