In September, we warned authors to watch out for scammers fraudulently using our name and posing as the “Authors Guild Book Acquisition Team” at “Authors Guild Literary.” At that time, we also filed a complaint with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). In March, a WIPO arbitrator sided with us and awarded us the fraudulent domain used in the scam, authorsguildliterary.com.
We’re thrilled to report that this domain has been transferred to our possession. If you reached this page through the authorsguildliterary.com URL, please be aware that it was previously associated with fraud and that we have been awarded the domain name due to the fraud. Anyone who was scammed by “Authors Guild Literary” should report whatever information they have either to the Authors Guild or to their local attorney general’s office.
