San Francisco writer Michael Castleman, an Authors Guild member since 1981, is the author of 19 books, most recently The Untold Story of Books: A Writer’s History of Book Publishing. He’s had a front row seat for the transformation of publishing from industrial to digital. He has researched the publishing industry for more than 40 years.

Mary Rasenberger is the CEO of the Authors Guild and Authors Guild Foundation. Prior to joining the Guild in November 2014, Mary practiced law for over 25 years in roles that spanned private practice, the government and corporate sector, as a recognized expert in copyright and media law.
