I am a poet writing under the name Jenny Olson. I write about hard things, but things that need to be out in the light. As for why writing is important, I stopped writing in 1976 and didn’t write again until 2023 and now I am compelled to write. What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? I use prompts from random words, friends, pictures wherever I can find a prompt What is your favorite time to write? I prefer mornings but my schedule doesn’t always allow that. What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? Read other poets. I started writing poetry not liking other poems that I read. Now I read them to learn from. What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? The ability to send my poems out to so many people via social media or online publications is wonderful!
