Writing is like breathing to me. Not only is it a medium to express myself, it is who I am. And the more voices that are heard, the better. What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? Step away and do something else totally unrelated to writing. My subconscious takes over and does the heavy lifting for me. What is your favorite time to write? When the house is quiet and still. But I can write anytime, day or night. I don’t wait for inspiration to strike. What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? Writing is a marathon, not a sprint. What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? The internet. Being able to reach so many people without leaving my home. PJ McIlvaine’s Dragon Roar, illustrated by Logan Rogers, is out now with MacLaren-Cochrane Publishing, Inc.
