Writing expresses what’s going on in the mind battered by the world. An extension of orality, it requires few tools and yields the height of eloquence. What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? Change genres. What is your favorite time to write? My best time to write is mornings; my favorite is early afternoon. What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? Grace Paley: Low rent. What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age?
