The written word is vital to education and history, but also to the ability to share thoughts and views among peoples. I have been all about words since I was in kindergarten. Books, articles, essays, etc., all contribute to the global dialogue we are all engaged in. I want to share my particular world view and thoughts with others. What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? Take a walk, or a nap! Letting my thoughts flow in every direction helps me ultimately pinpoint the problem with the story that has forced a pause in my writing. What is your favorite time to write? I write in the morning. What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? Write the story you want to read. What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? Having the ability to publish when as how I want to. Betty Bolte’s Katy: The Woman Who Signed the Declaration of Independence is out now with Mystic Owl Publishing.
