Nancy Churnin’s A Teddy Bear for Emily — and President Roosevelt, Too won a 2026 Christopher Award in the category of Books for Young People. Jason P. Crawford’s unpublished manuscript The Trials of Poseidon won the 2025 Grand Prize Ozma Award for Fantasy Fiction. Thomas E. Patteron’s American Populist: Huey Long of Louisiana won the Humanities Book of the Year Award from the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities. The award honors a book that best exemplifies scholarship on Louisiana topics or by Louisiana writers. Christy Sauro, Jr.’s The Legacy of the Twins Platoon won the Literary Titan Gold Book Award in the category of Nonfiction. Scott Semegran’s Starman After Midnight was named a finalist for Humor in the 2025 Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Awards. Debra J. Stone’s debut middle grade historical fiction novel The House on Rondo was a finalist for the Minnesota Book Awards in the Middle Grade category. Mathew Tekulsky’s Saving Annie won Gold in the 2026 Feathered Quill Book Award – Adult Fiction category. Amanda Vaill won the2026 Pulitzer Prize for Pride and Pleasure: The Schuyler Sisters in an Age of Revolution in the category of Biography. Jennilynn Wyer’s That Girl was named a 2025 IAN Book of the Year Award Finalist in Romance. The Boyfriend List (written under J.L. Wyer) was named a 2025 IAN Book of the Year Award Finalist for Young Adult Fiction, and The Kiss Wish (written under J.L. Wyer) was named a KBR Award Semifinalist in Young Adult fiction.
