Regional Chapters - The Authors Guild

Our next Authors Guild Denver Chapter event is coming up on Wednesday, May 20th at 6:30PM via zoom, and this month we’re diving into one of the biggest questions writers face: Which writing and publishing conferences are actually worth attending?

Whether you’re looking to learn more about craftpublishingnetworkingmarketing, or simply finding your writing community, conferences can open doors but they can also be overwhelming (and expensive). We’re bringing together a panel of conference insiders to help pull back the curtain.

We’ll talk about:

  • The differences between conferences
  • Who they’re best suited for
  • How to get the most out of attending
  • Pitch sessions, networking, workshops, and what actually matters
  • How conferences can help your long-term writing career

Bring your questions, your experiences, and your recommendations. Whether you’re conference-curious or a seasoned attendee, this should be a really helpful conversation.

Save the Date:

  • May 27 (6PM MT): Virtual Bookwriting Panel (with the Science Writers Association of the Rocky Mountains)
  • June 30 (6:00-8:00 MT): In-person at the Spicy Librarian Bookstore
  • July 22 (6:30-8:00 MT): Online: Scams – what to look for and how to avoid them
