Writing is important to me because it’s entertaining. I see a problem or a conflict, and I enjoy seeing how it develops and may be resolved. Life is full of crooked pictures, mysteries, and stories are a way to explore them, both by the writer and the reader. What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? First, don’t acknowledge that there is such a thing as writer’s block. Second, go for a walk. What is your favorite time to write? I have no favorite time although I do most of my writing in the afternoon. What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? Read. Read, Read. Revise. Revise. Revise. What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? The relationships I have with my fellow writers and my characters.
