Join the Guild’s Chicago chapter for an evening of poetry and community in partnership with the Chicago Poetry Center! On Monday, August 10th from 6:00-7:00 PM, we’ll attend the weekly Poetry at the Green series, at which a featured poet will share their work, followed by an open mic for anyone who would like to read their own poetry.After the program, we’ll gather from 7:00-7:30 PM for a casual social to connect with fellow writers, readers, and poetry lovers. There is a bar and market in the park where refreshments can be purchased.Whether you’re sharing your work, listening, or simply looking to meet other creatives, this is a wonderful opportunity to build community in a welcoming outdoor space.In the event of a weather-related cancellation, please check the Chicago Poetry Center’s Instagram or Facebook pages for the latest updates.Parking / Getting There:The Green is located behind 320 S. Canal Street, with the main entrance at the corner of Clinton & Van Buren. It’s just a short walk from the Clinton Blue Line station.
