The award will be presented to a novel by an author from, living in, or writing about the American South (authors need only meet one of these qualifications). Submissions must be original, previously unpublished novels, written by one person, in English, at least 50,000 words in length. The winner will receive $1,000 and publication. Entry fee: $20.
