Contests, Grants, and Residencies Margery Davis Boyden Wilderness Writing Residency February 5, 2016 Share on Twitter (opens in a new tab) on Facebook (opens in a new tab) on Linkedin (opens in a new tab) via email The PEN Northwest Margery Davis Boyden Wilderness Writing Residency is a seven-month residency given biennially to a poet, a fiction writer, or a creative nonfiction writer to live and work at the Dutch Henry Homestead in Oregon. The resident(s) will also receive a $5,000 stipend. The residency is open to poets and writers of all kinds, advanced in their careers or just starting out. Applicants may be individuals, couples (with or without children), or partnerships of two willing to live together in close quarters. Applicants should submit a resume, a writing sample of up to 20 pages or 10 single spaced pages of poetry, and a brief personal statement (up to 600 words).
