This Sunday, join the Guild’s Bay Area chapter for a book club in which you can bring (almost) any book you want to the conversation!
This is a topic-based book club for writers; you’ll read a book of your choosing, ideally published within the last 12 months. At the meeting we’ll share and discuss how different books approach the named topic, technique, and/or traits.
This month’s topic: First Lines / Opening Pages
Together, we’ll read and discuss them to see what we can learn about great openings! Please note that this is not a critique group; comments should be encouraging and respectful of individual tastes. We have many different writers in different genres with different goals—please meet each work where it is.
