As a wave of scams targeting authors continues and evolves over time, authors need to know how to avoid them and what to do after communicating with a scammer. FBI Agent John Gill joins us to explain the hallmarks of scams, why the problem has proliferated, and the role of law enforcement in fighting these scams. Identifying an authentic communication may be getting more difficult these days, but you can be well-prepared by improving your ability to detect scams. After the discussion, we will take audience Q&A.
