Are your book descriptions and metadata making your book easily discoverable in the modern age? Join us for an informative session with Narrative Muse, a UNESCO-recognized audience intelligence platform, to learn how AI reads metadata and how you can use that knowledge to sell more books.
Book discovery often begins with an AI query these days, as many people use AI engines for their internet searches, and even the traditional search results are superseded by AI answers. This means that readers are less likely to type a generic phrase like “historical fiction romance” into a search bar; they are more likely to ask an AI a complicated query like, “Recommend a romance set in Scotland in the early 1900s with a cynical protagonist and a bittersweet tone.” If a reader prompts an AI engine for the exact essence of your book, will your title surface?
Narrative Muse’s Nigel Lopez-McBean and Elina Ashimbayeva will share with us actionable advice that will help you optimize your book’s digital footprint and better position it to be found by its ideal readers. They will also briefly explain how Narrative Muse’s reader analytics and insights reports can help you understand who your audience is.
A Q&A will follow the presentation; you can pre-submit a question when registering for the event. A recording will be made available for those who cannot attend live.
The event will take place via Zoom with automatic closed captioning. To request any other accessibility features, please email support@authorsguild.org and we will make every effort to accommodate.
Nigel Lopez-McBean is an Emmy®-nominated storyteller and co-founder and CEO of Narrative Muse. He previously co-founded DBP Donut with filmmakers Mark and Jay Duplass, and his credits span Disney, Netflix, NBCUniversal and Sundance.
