Each year on April 26, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) organizes a global World IP Day (WIPD) celebration to help foster a greater understanding of Intellectual Property (IP) rights. For WIPD 2024, the Copyright Alliance and 18 partner organizations including the Authors Guild will host a Zoom panel titled Sustaining and Empowering the Creative Community Through Copyright.

Panelists will discuss how creators can meet their goals today while helping to ensure that tomorrow’s creative community is sustained through job growth, a strong creative economy, and continued growth of the arts, all of which are perpetuated through copyright protections.

Panelists

  • Keith Kupferschmid, CEO, Copyright Alliance
  • Miriam Lord, Copyright Office Associate Register of Copyrights and Director of Public Information and Education
