Four Members Nominated for PEN America’s Translation Prizes

PEN America announced the finalists of their 2022 Literary Awards on January 26. Kareem James Abu-Zeid’s translation of Najwan Darwish’s Exhausted on the Cross was nominated for a PEN Award for Poetry in Translation. Sean Cotter’s translation of FEM by Magda Cârneci, Alta L. Price’s translation of New Year by Juli Zeh, and Julia Sanches’s translation of Migratory Birds by Mariana Oliver were all nominated for the PEN Translation Prize.
