Toni Morrison won the PEN/Saul Bellow Award for Achievement in American Fiction given to a distinguished living American author of fiction. John Schulian won the PEN/ESPN Lifetime Achievement Award for Literary Sports Writing, given to a writer whose body of work represents an exceptional contribution to the field. —— Winners of the PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize, the PEN/Diamonstein-Spielvogel Award, the PEN/E.O. Wilson Literary Science Writing Award, the PEN Open Book Award, the PEN/FUSION Emerging Writers Prize, and the PEN/Heim Translation Fund Grants will be announced at an awards ceremony on April 11.
