Member Spotlight: Ann Edith Gorewitz

Why is writing important to you and why do you think it’s an important medium for the world? It’s a way of sharing experiences, emotions and lessons learned.

What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? First I do some sort of exercise – running, swimming, bike riding and then I set timer for 30 minutes to focus just on writing. I don’t edit my writing but try to keep the flow open.

What is your favorite time to write? Mornings after breakfast.

What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? Set a time everyday to write and make it a priority.

What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? Connecting with readers and other writers.
