Writing is essential to shut up the voices in my head. The characters want to tell their story! Writing is a vital medium to share self-discovery and see ourselves in the literary landscape. What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? To break through writer’s block, I do mindless tasks, like weeding the garden or cleaning closets. These tasks allow my mind to wander into alternate scenarios until I find the right one. What is your favorite time to write? I like to write midday, when the sun is shining. The sun revitalizes me. And after my cup of chai! What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? You have your own path, never compare yourself to anyone else. But, learn all you can from others’ successes. What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? There is no longer one to to being published in a landscape of diminishing traditional publishing houses. There are more options through independent and hybrid publishing.
