Why is writing important to you and why do you think it’s an important medium for the world? Writing helps me escape from the world and brings my dreams into reality. Because I write Jewish romance, writing enables me to offer authentic representation while celebrating diversity and joy.

What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? Writing is like a muscle, and I write daily to exercise that muscle. I review what I’ve written the previous day and continue from there. Even if I have to delete a day’s worth of work, it’s easier to change what’s on the page than edit a blank one.

What is your favorite time to write? I like writing in the early afternoon.

What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? Write what you love. Write for yourself. And never stop improving your craft.

What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? The opportunity to reach more readers than ever before through a variety of social media and digital methods.
