Member Spotlight: Susan Patricia Dalessandro

Why is writing important to you and why do you think it’s an important medium for the world? It’s an outlet for me, like running every day, to step away from my own life and into another world. It may be cliche, but it’s an escape. I think we all need an escape from real life, at times.

What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? Running or walking. Movement, especially movement in nature, stirs my creative juices.

What is your favorite time to write? I’m a morning person, so definitely the morning.

What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? Don’t give up. There are people out there that want and need your stories.

What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? There is a market for every genre, every age group and I can write what I want and know someone will enjoy my book.
