Denver Regional Chapter

Kenna Hughes-Castleberry is a science journalist and author of “Octopus X” (2027, Princeton University Press). While she has self-published novels in the past, Octopus X is her first book to be published traditionally, as Kenna is represented by the Martell Agency. Kenna works as the Content Manager of Live Science and covers topics such as animal intelligence, cephalopods, crows, technology, health and environmental science. She sits on the board of the Science Writers Association of the Rocky Mountains (SWARM). When she’s not reading, you can find Kenna cycling, lifting weights, crocheting or listening to true crime podcasts. 

Kirsten (“Kiki”) Ringer’s passion for writing began in kindergarten when she wrote her first book, Ruby Diamond and the Jewel Thief. With nearly 30 years in the publishing and entertainment industries, her experience includes The Walt Disney Studios, Penguin Putnam, and the venerable Russell & Volkening Literary Agency in New York, where she worked with Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winning authors. Kiki is a 500-hour certified yoga instructor and mindfulness practitioner. When she’s not training for a triathlon, she’s most often found snuggling her Dobermans, though she does take off Saturdays during the fall to watch college football. 

Rob Samborn is the award-winning author of six novels, including the Painted Souls dual-timeline thriller series and the upcoming spy thriller series, Diplomatic Security. In addition to being a novelist, Rob is a screenwriter, avid traveler, and entrepreneur with extensive sales and marketing experience. As an author, Rob falls squarely in the hybrid category, having had a three-book deal with mid-sized press, has self-published, and has a three-book audiobook deal. Five of his ten screenplays have been optioned. Originally from New York City, Rob lived in L.A. for twenty years before moving to Denver with his family. He’s represented by Park, Fine & Brower Literary Management.
