Alaska boasts an active literary scene that offers community and helpful resources for local writers. You can also discover a number of retreats and residencies in Alaska where you can hone your craft in a picturesque setting. Independent bookstores throughout the state often cater to writers’ groups and book launches, and you can also rely on a robust public library system for access to books and work space. Special thanks to Laura Ojeda Melchor and our friends at Las Musas for producing this list.
The Authors Guild’s community resources for writers are produced in coordination with our educational series Business Bootcamps for Writers. We will update and add to these community resource lists over time.
