Deciphering a royalty statement can seem difficult if you are unfamiliar with the jargon and accounting methods used in publishing. To help you understand how royalties work and how to read a statement, join us as Erin Lowry chats with special guest Gina Denny, royalties and operations manager at Ayesha Pande Literary.

We will go over the basics of book royalties and what to expect on a book’s earliest statements, as well as details authors should know about escalators, foreign rights, and other factors that depend on your contract. We will also discuss discrepancies between sales data and royalty statements and what to do if you believe your statement is inaccurate. This webinar will primarily address royalties for traditionally published books and is intended for both agented and unagented authors.
